Join us on March 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for the second installment of the 2025-2026 LACC & CPC Webinar Series.
Rising sea levels, hurricanes, and floods have become defining features of the environmental security landscape of the Caribbean, with global warming aggravating the circumstances of some countries. This webinar reflects on the region’s environmental security scene for 2026, particularly the hurricanes that impacted Jamaica, Haiti, the Bahamas, and other islands, the floods in Guyana and Suriname, and wildfires in Belize. Attention will be paid to the socio-economic impact of global warming and climate financing.
