2026 Caribbean Webinar Series | Seminar 2

Shaping a Stronger Caribbean Voice for Climate Action
As the global community looks ahead to COP 31 in Antalya, TΓΌrkiye, policymakers, diplomats, academics, development practitioners, and civil society leaders face a critical question:
What should the Caribbean’s climate agenda be in the next phase of international climate negotiations?
Join Diplomats Without Borders (DWB) and the Caribbean Policy Consortium (CPC) for the second seminar in the 2026 Caribbean Webinar Series, bringing together distinguished regional experts to examine the environmental and climate challenges facing Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and discuss priorities for advancing a unified regional position from COP 30 to COP 31.
This timely discussion will explore key issues including climate finance, adaptation, resilience, sustainable development, loss and damage, and the Caribbean’s role in shaping global climate policy.
Webinar Overview
The Caribbean remains one of the regions most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, despite contributing minimally to global greenhouse gas emissions. As preparations intensify for COP 31, this webinar provides an opportunity to examine emerging climate priorities, assess outcomes from COP 30, and identify pathways for strengthening Caribbean advocacy within international climate negotiations.
Participants will gain valuable insights from leading policymakers, diplomats, climate experts, and development practitioners on how the region can effectively advance its interests on the global stage.
