Winston Dookeran

Winston Dookeran serves as Professor of Practice at the Institute of International Relations at
the University of the West Indies presently. He was previously a visiting professor at the
University of Toronto and a senior economist at the Economic Commission for Latin
America and the Caribbean in Washington, D.C. He is a former Minister of Finance and
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago, and also served as Governor of the
Central Bank. Dookeran is the author of several books on Caribbean affairs, including
Resetting Caribbean Policy Analysis (UWI Press) and The Caribbean on the Edge
(University of Toronto Press).
